"Sherman Park is a unique and eclectic neighborhood with a rich history."

We moved here in 2011 to be a part of the CBJ community, but found so much more! We love the diversity, commitment and pride of the entire Sherman Park neighborhood. We believe it is one of Milwaukee's hidden secrets – great neighbors, great houses, and very affordable!

"My wife and I grew up around Milwaukee and we came to Sherman Park because we wanted to experience a different part of the city."

We wanted to move to an integrated neighborhood where we could raise our children. When they got older, they had to leave the neighborhood in order to go to a coffee shop. We decided to open our own coffee shop, within the community, where people could meet and come together.

"My favorite part about living in Sherman Park is its accessibility and the convenience."

It’s close to everything we want to do. It’s about two minutes from work. It’s about two minutes from church. Five minutes from downtown. I’m a freelancer, so I’m working all over the metropolitan area. I can get just about anywhere from here fairly easily, fairly quickly.

"I heard about MKE Rising from a co-worker. I simply drove by my house and fell in love with it. It was move-in ready and rehabbed with quality."

I was looking to buy a home and looked at dozens of other homes. Moving is stressful enough, but everything I wanted in a home was already here. I love my house, I do. The neighbors are great, everything is nearby, the location is easier on gas, and people are so friendly!

"I found a beautiful and centrally located building in this area to open up my business."

My business just celebrated its 16th anniversary, and I have been in this neighborhood for 11 years now. I love the diversity in the neighborhood that provides me the opportunities to work with and meet the needs of so many different people in the community.”
